Tassie Trip, Day 2

As with all things, I'm getting daunted by the task of documenting this trip. And I'm only on Day 2! Maybe I shouldn't have taken so many pictures. Then I wouldn't have so much to go through. Oh well, I will persevere.

Our second day was a Saturday which meant that the Salamanca Market was on. D's a market freak so there was no way we would've missed it. We were on our way, bright and early.

The parking area was right next to this building. How pretty is that?

The market was a decent enough size, not as big as some but still pretty good.

The backdrop, on the other hand, was unrivaled.

Me, not so

We couldn't decide on where to eat as we wandered along. We walked past a wrap stand that was selling these gorgeous looking lamb wraps. We couldn't resist. We ate our brunch in the park and it was perfect.

We thought the market was going to be bigger than it was, which is why we booked the later brewery tour at 1pm. We were done by 10.30 so we had about 2 hours to kill. We decided to do another scenic drive.

We were a bit aimless with our driving as we didn't want to drive too far and we really didn't know where we were going.

Still found a few interesting sights though.

We found a "waterfall" marked on our tourist map. We decided to check it out. We almost missed it as it wasn't properly marked. And we quickly found out why. There wasn't much to it.

After that disappointing "waterfall" and a foray into some "gardens" that didn't amount to much, we decided to head off to the Cascade Tourist Centre early. We still had about an hour to kill but we decided we'd rather wait and read than drive aimlessly for another hour.

The Cascade Tourist Centre and Brewery Tour in the next post...
