yes i know, the url is misleading. this is a prime example of my inability to plan ahead.
this is a hodge podge of my random thoughts, crazy ideas, projects and stories of marriage mishaps, adventures & misadventures.
It's a cover of a Tears for Fears song and was featured in the movie, Donnie Darko (which D & I watched on video last weekend). Lately, I've been hearing this song everywhere I go. Love it. It's going to become the most played song on my ipod...
He's flown to Canberra to watch Crusty Demons with the boys. Don't ask me what it is. I don't know. It has something to do with bikes and other boy stuff.
All I know is I'm home alone with my eyes googly from playing too much Scrabulous on facebook. Waayyy too much.
I really should go to sleep but I don't think I can yet. On nights when D's away, I find it incredibly hard to psyche myself to go sleep. What I do is tire myself out by doing silly nothings so that I have no choice but to go to bed.
I don't think I'm at that point yet. So more Scrabulous and maybe some reading of Stephen King's Different Seasons (LOVE this anthology).
Meanwhile, I need to come up with a better plan for tomorrow night...
Seriously, this movie is cool. A chick flick and a guys gory dream come true all rolled into one. Tarantino rocks.
Now all I need to do is find out where to watch Rodriguez's Planet Terror, other than the Astor*.
----
*The Astor Theatre is having a special season of Grindhouse -- showing Death Proof and Planet Terror as a double feature, the way the directors intended it. Unfortunately, we'll be in Manila at the time they're showing it. Bummer.
UPDATE: We watched Planet Terror and I was sorely disappointed in Robert Rodriguez. It was still worth watching just for the girl with a machine gun for a leg...
no-longer-new bride. brand new mum. resident of melbourne. missing family, friends, chaotic manila and the concept of maids. exploring marriage, motherhood and melbourne with the same sense of excitement tinged with apprehension. fighting off boredom by going on adventures and finding unusual and/or new things to do.
